Anna Rossinelli in an interview

To coincide with the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which is taking place in Basel this year, Anna Rossinelli answers a few questions for us.

When you sang on stage in your red dress in 2011, what was going through your mind?

I was incredibly nervous and I still remember the countdown clearly: 10, 9, 8... and then it began. I'd never been so nervous in my life. The three minutes ticked by like a movie, and afterwards I couldn't really remember much. It all went by so fast.

Was there a particular experience at the contest that shaped you?

The whole event was a unique experience. For two weeks in Düsseldorf, we were completely isolated from the outside world. At the same time, it was a completely new world for us. I was 25 years old, and none of us had any real experience in this industry, especially not with the media. This made it even clearer to me how important friends and family are. I was very happy to finally get home and find some peace and quiet.

Has your beauty ideal changed since the birth of your daughter?

That hasn't changed. Generally, we all get older, and I've also noticed that my body has changed due to the pregnancy. I accept it just as I did before. I'm very grateful for my health and what my body does for me. For me, inner beauty is what matters. You can see it in happy people; they have such a radiance and are therefore very attractive.

What qualities would you like to instill in your daughter so that she becomes a confident woman?

I want to be a role model for her and pass on my values. For me, this happens more subconsciously, and I haven't really developed a strategy for how I'm going to approach it. I try to be an authentic mom to her, one who also has days when she doesn't feel super confident or attractive. It's also important to me that she sees that I work hard and that you have to work hard to achieve something. She's only two years old, and many challenges are still ahead of us. I'll react accordingly when they arise. A lot of things will fall into place naturally.

If you had to sum up your life so far with 3 adjectives, what would they be?

Lively, flexible, and full of love.

Incidentally, Anna's favorite product is and remains The Face Cream.
